Michael Filipek is the Vice President of Human Resources at URP, where he is responsible for crafting the company’s vision, developing HR plans and policies, hiring and evaluating executives, and re-engineering processes for efficiency.
Michael brings over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Most recently, he oversaw HR at Universal Lighting Technologies.
With a hometown of Whiting, Indiana just outside of Chicago and a BS degree in Management with Marketing Major from Purdue University, Michael is passionate about hiring and engaging the most talented workforce in the industry to champion URP and create an inventive, efficient and rewarding working experience.
Behind the scenes, you can find Michael traveling around to National Parks, on a hiking trail, playing a game of pickleball, or spending time with his 4 grandchildren.
