2025 at United Record Pressing: A Year of Measurable Progress

At United Record Pressing, progress isn’t defined by hype. It’s defined by output, reliability, and continuous investment in the people, processes, and technology that serve our customers.

As we close the books on 2025, we wanted to share a transparent look at how the past year shaped our operation and how those improvements directly benefit the artists, labels, and partners who trust us with their vinyl record pressing.

This isn’t a victory lap. It’s a checkpoint.

A Stronger Year for Production & Fulfillment

In 2025, URP pressed and shipped 21% more records than in 2024.

That growth reflects meaningful improvements across capacity planning, scheduling, and throughput, not shortcuts. It means more records delivered on time, fewer production bottlenecks, and greater consistency across projects of all sizes.

As demand for vinyl continues to evolve, our focus remains the same: scale responsibly while protecting quality.

Faster, More Reliable Test Presses

Test presses are a critical moment in any vinyl project and one we’ve worked hard to optimize.

In 2025:

  • Average test press turnaround was reduced from 21 days to a 10-day average

  • 99% of test presses received first-pass customer approval

These results come from tighter upstream coordination, improved QA visibility, and clearer communication between teams, allowing customers to move forward with confidence and fewer delays.

Investing in the Future of Galvanics

Galvanics remains one of the most technically demanding stages of vinyl manufacturing, and in 2025 we made a major commitment to strengthening it.

  • Complete investment in new galvanic plating equipment

  • Installation scheduled for completion in February 2026

  • Stamper life yield increased by 45 to 50% per project

Longer stamper life means fewer remakes, more consistency across runs, and better sound integrity, all while reducing waste and downtime.

This investment is about long-term reliability, not short-term gains.

A More Connected Customer Experience

We believe great pressing plants are built on communication as much as machinery.

In 2025, we expanded our customer service model to ensure clarity and accountability at every stage:

  • A dedicated URP Representative and Project Manager assigned to each account

  • Multiple points of contact to avoid bottlenecks

  • Live data reporting available for greater transparency

  • Competitive finished goods models offered to simplify end-to-end planning

The result is fewer unknowns, faster answers, and stronger partnerships.

Raising the Bar on Quality & QA/QC

Quality control isn’t a single checkpoint. It’s a system.

This year, URP optimized its 7-step QA/QC process, incorporating live data tablets at every quality checkpoint. Customers now benefit from real-time insight throughout the process, from Mother QA through Pre-Ship QC.

Each step is intentional. Each record is tracked. Each decision is documented.

That visibility helps us catch issues earlier, resolve them faster, and deliver records we’re proud to stand behind.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The improvements made in 2025 are already shaping the year ahead.

With new galvanic equipment coming online, stronger QA systems in place, and a growing commitment to transparency and service, United Record Pressing enters 2026 positioned to support the next chapter of vinyl thoughtfully, responsibly, and at scale.

If you’re planning a release and want to understand how these investments impact your project, we’re always happy to talk.

Let’s keep pressing forward.
